The Ramblers is a national organisation that exists to further the enjoyment and discovery that walking outdoors can bring to everyone, and to promote respect for the life of the countryside. There are around 423 groups across the country with over 140,000 members. Each group organizes regular walks.

Membership
We encourage all walkers to join the Ramblers Association, although non-members are very welcome to come along to try out a few walks to see if this is the group you’d like to join.

The National Office deals with membership applications. Just click here for details of how to join. When you have signed up, your name and address will be passed to a group, normally the one covering the area where you live. You will then receive the walks programme for that group, but you are welcome to join in the activities of any other group in the country. Members also receive copies of the quarterly Rambler magazine and an annually updated Ramblers’ Yearbook and Accommodation Guide.
